Issues lodging the first BAS with date settings

Hi I wonder if anyone can help with the issue with date settings. I have attached two screen shots showing entering the dates for the lodgement, and it comes up with this error message - "These dates don't match any lodgement periods for the reporting frequencies in your settings" . The second screen shot shows the tax setting in the GST area, as you can see I have set it as quarterly. Is the above message referring to another settings, somewhere else.

Issues lodging the first BAS with date settings

It's nice to have you back. @Ancient67.

I've got you covered in getting this BAS lodging issue sorted out for you.

When lodging a Business Activity Statement (BAS) in QuickBooks Online, you'll need to make sure that the lodging frequency will be the same as your taxes'lodging frequency.

Based on the screenshot given, I notice that your PAYG frequency is different. I'd suggest changing it to the appropriate frequency provided by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

To give you in-depth details about this process, please check out these resources:

If you need further assistance with lodging BAS, you can always reach out to our Customer Care Team

Of course, I'm just a reply away should you need anything else about this concern. I'll be around to help you out. Wishing you and your business continued success!

Thank you for the suggestion. I have now fixed it up, it was the " Company Income Tax (PAYG installments was the issue. The other query, I have set up the ATO electronic, before I had started the the BAS lodgement. But it said to Mark as lodged, It didn't connect to ATO, I had to go into the ATO Business Portal and lodge it manually. Is there something I need to do in Quickbooks for next time. I attached the Access Manager - note the company name not showing.

Hello there, @Ancient67

I'm glad that the steps shared by my colleague are able to help you with lodging your BAS. Let me help you with connecting QuickBooks Online with the ATO.

You'll need to enable BAS e-lodgement to lodge BAS directly from QuickBooks and download installment amounts. This can be done by calling the ATO, or through the ATO Access Manager.

Please take note that you'll need the tax file number and software ID to get authorised via phone while you'll need the AUSkey or myGOV Account for ATO Access Manager.

You can check the following article for the detailed steps as well as some FAQs to know more about Connecting QuickBooks Online with the ATO: Enable BAS E-lodgement for QuickBooks

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be around to assist you.
