You can get the badge when you write something about your biography. I’ll be glad to walk you through the steps:

  1. Click on your username or picture to see your profile.
  2. Click Edit. Please excuse my profile, I'm just trying to show the Edit option.
  3. Click on PERSONAL, and then Personal Information.
  4. Enter something in the Your Biography field.
  5. Click Save.

I can’t wait to read something about yourself.

Hi lerga,

 

The error means ATO cannot recognise your Software ID. This ID is assigned to your account for lodging your STP.

 

Let's check to see if the ID in your payroll settings and ATO's Access Manager matches. If your Access Manager account doesn't show the correct one, you can add the ID in your settings.

 

To check your software ID in QuickBooks:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Payroll Settings.
  2. On the left pane, select ATO Settings.
  3. Click the Electronic Lodgement & STP tab.

After knowing your ID, you can log in to your Access Manager using your Administrator AUSkey or myGov credentials. Please refer to the screenshots in this article from KepPay: Enabling ATO Integration for Single Touch Payroll.

Hi Jess, 

Thanks for the quick reply. I have the right Software ID recorded with the ATO.  STP although takes forever does always work, but when trying to lodge my BAS, i get "We can’t e-lodge this activity statement, as the software Id is missing or invalid. You may still ‘Mark As Lodged’ until you fix that." error. The thing is, it doesnt even look like its trying to asscess the ATO sight as it pops up straight away on step 4 summary page. I do have Extractor as the sevice provider and software ID (removed)

recorded.  Thanks again.

One last thing, how do you get the "Introduce Yourself Badge"? Im supost to tell about myself, but cant find where to do that.

Just a little feed back. I called Quickbooks, they gave me a new Software Id number that I didnt have. But is gave me a new measage, saying the ATO had a diferent Tax Setting. On calling the ATO, all seemed as it should. Then I decided to un clicked "Company Income tax (PAYG Installments" check Box and it went though. YAh! Just thought thats another question the phone staff could ask as it would have saved me a call.  But all good now.

Thanks for posting that! I ran into the same problem. Had company tax ticked in the GST settings!
