I only am using Invoices so have elected to us an invoice that has two columns - Description & Amount

If you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), the Invoice feature has limited customization options compared to other accounting platforms.
The functionality to extend the Description column in QBSE is unavailable. Our invoice templates are designed with a fixed layout to maintain a simple and user-friendly interface.
While resizing the column is unavailable, you can use the full description field to enter more details and structure the information so it appears just the way you want on your invoice. If additional context is needed, consider adding notes in the Message field to ensure your clients receive all the necessary information.
If you use QuickBooks Online, we can extend the Description column by hovering your mouse near the edge of the column header. When you do, a resizing cursor, two arrows pointing left and right, will appear, allowing you to click and drag to adjust the column's width accordingly. This makes it easier to view longer descriptions without having to cut them off.
