Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, james-mcelroy-wa. Let's go over some troubleshooting steps so you can smoothly add suppliers to QuickBooks. Beforehand, may I ask if you encountered any specific errors when entering the supplier's data? I appreciate any further details so I can present accurate information.
In the meantime, I recommend accessing your QuickBooks account through a private browser. Then, input your supplier information from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

If it works, you have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This clears the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.
Lastly, I'm adding this article if you need help running a report that will reflect all payments made to suppliers: Run a report with supplier totals.
Feel free to click the comment section below if you have other concerns about this or any QBO-related questions. I'm always around to help, james-mcelroy-wa. Have a great day!
