QuickBooks won’t automatically update the information added in the Service Date column. You may need to manually modify it yourself before the next scheduled date.

What point if we have to manually go and edit recurring invoices, we might as well create those manually.
If its. recurring there should be an option to automatically take the invoice date as service date

Allow me to provide some clarifications regarding this matter. As mentioned by my peer KhimG above, recurring transaction templates don't automatically populate the service date field on transactions.
You'll need to find each transaction and manually enter the correct service date. It is because the system isn't able to recognize as to when does the service or purchase happened.

What 3rd Party tools can I use to dynamically increment service date on my recurring invoices in QBO. What QBO is offering as answer just does not work. What's the point of recurring invoices if I have to manually edit every one of them for Service Date.
