"An unexpected error occurred. Please try after some time." this happens 60% of the time. What can I do

Hi trinsonspaperm,

An error like this is triggered by random browser issues. We can do the basic browser troubleshooting steps to fix this.

To start, you'll want to sign in to QuickBooks using a private browser. This step disables its extensions and stops the cache from saving your browsing history.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If if you will not notice the error anymore, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If it still keeps on popping up, please try other browsers.

You can also do the browser health checkup as an added step.

Feel free to share an update after doing the steps above.

I am finding this is happening when I am setting up an employee for time tracking capabilities.  All previous invitation emails have been deleted and still having trouble??

This has been happening to me for six months now and no one has been able to resolve it.
I have tried three different browsers, and even incognito with no resolve. I need to have this sorted so I can finalise my last year's tax. This is not good enough for a program I have been paying for the last year.

Hi there, thanks for posting in the Community!

Let me help you sign back in to your QuickBooks Self Employed account. As per checking the screenshot you've tried signing in via a web browser. Are you able to access your account via the Self Employed mobile app? I'd recommend downloading the mobile app version to see if the issue persist or not.

Can we please try to clear cookies and cache on your browser and then follow the steps below:

1. On Keyboard, click Ctrl Shift Delete to bring up the pop-up window
2. Select the time range to be ALL Time
3. Select the checkbox for Cookies and Cache (rest of the list are optional)
4. Select Clear data
5. Sign out of QBSE account (if already signed in)
6. Sign back into QBSE account ttps://au.selfemployed.intuit.com/login to check if working

Furthermore, I can see there's a reported product investigation with the error you've reported INV-82584 QBSE AU Only: Unable to login through web browser, getting error - "An unknown error has occurred. Please try again later." and currently being worked on. I would recommend contacting directly our Live Chat support team. That way, they can escalate your account to our senior support team and get your details securely.
