Our records show that we have an open investigation about clicking Review and Pay for sent invoices, nick14.

Our engineers are currently working to determine the problem and fix it as well. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. We need to ask for your contact information and add you to the list of affected users, this is the code INV-39045. Everyone on that list will be notified via email as soon as the issue is resolved.

Here's how to contact support:

  1. Choose the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner of QBO.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Inform them that you're having an error an "unexpected error has occured" by clicking Review and Pay, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select Get a callback to reach out to one of our phone agents.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Let me know if you need anything else. We're always here to answer your question and help you sort it out.

This appears to be happening again. Although, they get the message "Server unavailable"

First, it was just when my technicians attempted to open it for clients while onsite using an apple device, gmail app. If they were connected to wifi, it worked. If we copied the URL and sent it to them directly, they could open it. Yesterday, however, I had issues opening it from my desktop as well.

Let's make sure to resolve the issue so you don't have to copy the URL all the time, Alicia.

Normally, when you send out a Payments-enabled invoice to your customer, they should be able to click on the Pay Now link and successfully submit their credit card information.

Let your customer clear their cache and cookies and try submitting the information again. There are times when your browser's cache saves files on your computer to load websites faster on your next visit. However, it also gets outdated over time, which can cause issues. Follow the steps on how to clear the cache:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Microsoft Edge).

Secondly,  the merchant can manually process a customer payment inside QuickBooks to see if they can bypass the error. You'll want to reach out to our support team if you're still getting the error or if you have any other concerns about your Payments Pay Now link.

On top of that, stay familiar with some of the main features of QuickBooks Online (QBO). Check out some of the links in this article so you'll know how to run your business: Get Started With QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you have any questions about the payment link. I'm always right here to assist you further.

Thank you for your response. The technicians, who were the ones having the issue, did clear out their cache and cookies (we are an IT support company so the technicians are aware of the the common issues and fixes) I will keep checking back to see if any other information arises about this issue. Thank you.
