Welcome to QuickBooks Community and thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online as your accounting program. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to ensure that your orders or invoices are being delivered to a particular customer.

 

There are times customers didn't receive your invoices, sales receipts, estimates, statements, or reports via email due to some reasons. To start fixing this issue, you'll have to reset your email address if you newly imported data into a QuickBooks Online company.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon ⚙.
  2. Under Your Company, choose Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Company tab and select the edit icon in the Contact info section.
  4. Review each email address and make changes as necessary.
  5. Click Save and Done.

 

If the issue persists, I'd suggest asking your customers to check their junk mail and spam folders. If the email is still not found, I recommend clearing the Company email field and entering the desired email address. Please follow the steps below.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon ⚙. Then, choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the edit icon in the Contact info section under the Company tab.
  3. Clear the Company email field and enter the desired address as is, even if it appears correct.
  4. Click Save and Done.
  5. Send yourself a test entry.

Hi ChristeAnn,

Thank you.  It works after testing as you suggested.

But, what I noticed is that from quickbooks online, I can send the forms to yahoo with no trouble but gmail based client's can't receive the order.  Any suggestions?

I'd like to provide additional insights as to why some customers don't receive orders thru Gmail.

 

Sometimes Intuit emails are restricted in a customer's Gmail account security, preventing them from receiving your order. I'd suggest asking your clients to check their spam and junk mail folders.

 

 If the issue persists, the host names and IP addresses for the QuickBooks Online mail servers may need to be added to your outgoing mail servers. For assistance, contact an IT professional.
