Why would the bank feed information not transfer to the general ledger?

How are you, accountants1?

The general ledger is like a register. However, only the balance from the bank feed will be reported on the reports. With that being said, transactions from the bank feeds will not appear on the General ledger.

To get the balance, we'll need to ensure that the transactions from the bank feed were already matched. Otherwise, it'll not appear in the report.

If we haven't matched them yet, we can go to this link to learn about matching transactions by getting enough details there. One more thing, let's make sure to customize the report to see the balance and the information on it.

Here are the things that we'll need to apply for the report. Along with that, you can take a look at the sample screenshots below:

If they were already matched and the balance is not appearing on the report. We can perform basic troubleshooting steps to fix it. Here's how:

  1. Click the Reload icon or press CTRL F5 to refresh QuickBooks.
  2. Aside from using the Reload icon, we can use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.
  3. We can clear the cache of your original browser. It removes loading and formatting issues, which help to navigate QuickBooks without getting an unexpected behavior. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBO

Let me know if you have other questions with QuickBooks reports. Stay safe, and be well!
