Is there an Australian version of the .IIF Import Kit? The USA version does not have Australian Tax Codes (TRNS: TAXCODE, TAXRATE, TAXAMT, TRNSPLT: TAXABLE, AUTOSTAX). A 2004 Cash Sale (Sales Tax Preference=On).iif example with Australian tax codes would suffice.
Hi swck,
Currently we can only import data manually to QuickBooks Online through the Settings and click on Import data option. Another option is to use the MMC convert team to help migrate data to QuickBooks Online.

Hi swck,
I'm afraid the IIF import kit is not available in QuickBooks Online Australia version. The import option available is manual through CSV file upload or contact the MMC Conversion team.
For us to better assist you, I would recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, one of our support agents can do screensharing session with you and help you with the GST concern.

The following steps allows an IIF file to be opened in Excel.
Save the IIF file locally
Open Microsoft Excel and in Excel, select FILE > OPEN
In the drop down for file type, change to ALL FILES (*.*)
Browse and select the IIF file
When the Text Import Wizard appears, select DELIMITED and NEXT
Select TAB as the DELIMITER
Select FINISH
Select FILE > SAVE AS and change the SAVE AS type to an Excel workbook
Then use an importer tool to proceed

Hi @swck I assume you need to import an IIF file into QuickBooks Online. Whilst QuickBooks Online does support importing transaction and list data from Excel and CSV files it does not support the IIF file format that was used extensively to import into QuickBooks Desktop.
There is an addon app that does take an IIF file and import that directly into QuickBooks Online if you are looking for a solution rather than having to edit IIF files in Excel and reformatting.
The app is called Axis Online and I am the publisher of you can find it in the Intuit App Marketplace
