New employee hours not calculating correctly on first pay run

I have a new employee who started a week ago.  In Default Pay settings I put her standard hours as 38  per week, 7.6 hours per day, but when I do the first payrun, her hours are only calculated as 27.14 for the first week.  Why does does happen and how can I fix it?

New employee hours not calculating correctly on first pay run

Hi TP22,

Thank you for your question and welcome to our community!

May I confirm under the Pay Rates session in this employee's details, how many units were put in for her pay, please?

Thank you and please let us know.

New employee hours not calculating correctly on first pay run

Hallo.  Thank you for your response.  It is set at 38 hours, but the pay run only calculates 27.14 hours.   I know I can override it manually, but don't understand why it happens.

Kind regards

Tania

Hi Tania,

Thank you for getting back to us on this.

Based on what you mentioned, it is a bit hard to determine why it happens.

I would suggest contacting our support team so we can take a better look with you in the payroll setting over a screen-share session. Please found the contact details of our support team in the link below:
