I'd be glad to share insights about the availability of the Tax summary report in QuickBooks.
Specifically, this report is only available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). This shows your taxable business profit (income minus deductions) and totals for Schedule C and healthcare deductions.
Since you can't track Schedule C (for independent contractors) in QuickBooks Online (QBO), this report is unavailable on the said software.
However, you can organize your Chart of Accounts to match it with the Tax summary report. You can utilize the information from your Profit and Loss report to show the amounts that you need.
Here's how to view the P&L report in QBO:
- Go to Business overview and select ReportS
- Locate and click the Profit and Loss report.
- Filter your Report period and Customise your filters.
- Select Run report.
On the other hand, you can customize reports in QuickBooks to easily draw the data you needed the most for your business.
