To start with, I'd like to ask if you receive any error message while trying to connect your bank. Any further details about this matter are much appreciated.

 

If this is your first time to connect your bank account to QBO, you can access your account on a private window and connect it from there. This can help us identify if the problem is browser-related.

 

You can open a Private Window in all supported browsers using the corresponding keyboard shortcut below:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If you can now connect the bank, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Web-based platforms like QBO collect cache files (cookies) to save you time when loading repetitive data and images. This may result to an odd behavior while working with QuickBooks.

 

If you're referring to bank transactions that are not downloading into the system, I'd suggest reaching out to your financial institution. This way, we'll be able to verify if they have ongoing system maintenance that can be the reason behind the issue.

 

For now, you may consider manually uploading your bank transactions in the system to get your work done.

 

To do that:

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the instructions to download your transactions as a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
  2. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down and choose Upload from file.
  4. Tap Browse and pick the data.

       5. Review all the fields, then tap Next.

       6. Click Let's go to complete the process.
