Hello there, Josephine GHH.

May I know exactly what happened to your account? Do you mean some of your data that has already been entered before was deleted? I hope you can further explain to us the details and to make sure that we're on the same page. Thus, we'll be able to address your concerns properly.

Anything else that you want us to help with? Well, you can always drop me a line so we can get back to you in no time.

My problem is that I cannot upload my daily bank transactions from Standard Bank.

This isn't the kind of impression that I'd like you to have and we know how much time it can take when something isn’t working for a long period. This is why we make great efforts to deliver customer satisfaction at all times and to fix an issue as soon as possible, Josephine GHH.

If you manually upload your bank transactions and you can't upload them, or you get an error, don't worry. these are usually temporary and easy to fix. If the uploaded file contains invalid transaction amount information, this happens if one of your transactions has 12 or more digits. QuickBooks can't upload transactions this large.

To resolve this, we can remove the transaction from the file and enter the transaction as an individual sales receipt or expense in QuickBooks. Then upload the file again. Let's make sure we use the correct format when uploading CSVs. It should be either the following 3-column or 4-column format. These are the only columns QuickBooks can handle and in this order. Each bank formats CSV files differently and you may not be able to import CSVs from certain banks since files don't have the format QuickBooks needs. You can also reformat your CSV before you upload them.

For other troubleshooting steps if you have issues when uploading bank transactions into QuickBooks Online, check out this article: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online. We can also manually update your bank connection to get the latest available transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, and select Transactions.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Click Update.

Just in case you have duplicate bank transactions, you can exclude them from the Banking page to get rid of them. Feel free to visit our Banking page for more insights about managing your bank feeds and reconciling accounts.

You can always update us on the result after performing the recommended solutions as I'd like to ensure this is resolved for you. Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you. Have a great day ahead.
