Please help

I'll be happy to help you input a customer's name for a bank deposit without having a pop-up message, @JCquick.

To begin, let's make sure to create first a customer from the customer tab before making the bank deposit. This way, you can just select it in the Received From dropdown menu.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and choose the Customers tab.
  2. Click the New customer button.

  3. Enter the necessary information in the Customer Information window.
  4. Lastly, select Save

If the issue persists, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors and/or unusual responses. Let's start by accessing your account using a different or a private browser.

You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If it works successfully, you'd want to clear your regular browser's cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBO.

Additionally, here's an article you can read to guide you to record bank deposits in QuickBooks Online: Make bank deposits in QBO.
