How do I import transactions from FNB longer than the current period. We have been banking with them for 10 years.

Hello, SamirC.

Let me share some information about importing transactions behind the current period days in QBO.

By default, QBO will bring in data for approximately 90 days. If you want a longer time period, you can use Web Connect files to get the older ones imported into the program. You can download the file from your bank website and import it. However, we need to ensure you're using the supported file types.

Here are the file types you can use:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

Once done, we can start manually import the banking data in QBO.

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and then choose Upload transactions.
  2. Select Browse and pick the file you downloaded from your bank, then tap Next
  3. From the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into, and then click Next.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. Match the columns on the file with the banking fields in QuickBooks, and then tap Next.
  5. Hit Let's go when you're ready.
