After generating an invoice, click save. QB says invoice not saved and changes will be discarded, but going into customer profile shows the invoice was saved.

Previously all I had to do was click save, and the finished invoice was displayed, ready to email or preview, etc. Now I click save, nothing happens. Can only exit the form, prompting to save or discard the changes. Only working option is to discard. Will however find the invoice saved after all. Android app. Problem started mid-use, not after an update.

After generating an invoice, click save. QB says invoice not saved and changes will be discarded, but going into customer profile shows the invoice was saved.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps so you can properly save your invoices through your QuickBooks Online (QBO) app, @pizzapiaggio-gma. I'm here to guide you how.

The possible reason you're experiencing an unusual behavior of the QBO Android app is that your stored data or cache is full. With this, you'll have to clear your app data. This will refresh the system and remove the older files that cause the app's unusual behavior. There are two places to execute the process. In the app itself and your phone settings.

In the QuickBooks Online app:

  1. Go to the More Options icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Choose Refresh Data, then select Yes.

In your Android Settings:

  1. Go to your phone's Settings.
  2. Select Apps (varies by device).
  3. Choose QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

After that, power down and restart your Android phone. This is to make sure the updates are implemented accordingly.

The QBO Android app provides two financial reports. The Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports. Both will provide details in monitoring the growth of your business. Just select the Menu icon located at the lower right portion of the screen, then go to the All tab beside Shortcuts.

I'm also adding this US article to learn more about the QBO app features available on supported mobile devices: Compare mobile app features. It contains a comparison chart between an Android phone and tablet.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
