How to cancel a customer invoice

Hi there, kromme. I can guide you in canceling invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to keep your sales records accurate.

 

If you have created an invoice that contains errors, don't worry. We can help you avoid any negative impact on your account by voiding or deleting the invoice. 

 

Voiding an invoice means that it will be marked as invalid and won't affect your account balance or financial records. Deleting an invoice means that it will be removed from your account completely. To void or delete an invoice, simply let us know and we'll guide you through the process. 

 

  1. Locate the invoice you want to delete.
  2. In the Invoice window, click More at the bottom.
  3. Choose either Delete or Void, then click Yes to confirm.
