Why can I not view my custom invoice template in pdf - it just gives me a blank screen?

Let's get this sorted out, maryna.

There are some reasons why the pdf file is blank.

The first possible reason is that the internet files in the browser's memory may have caused this blank screen. We can isolate this issue by running QuickBooks Online on an incognito or private browsing mode.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl Shift P

If you're able to view the invoice template pdf file, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This helps remove old cache data and allow QuickBooks to load as a new page. This also remove any errors or glitches that may cause this odd behavior. Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers.

The second reason is that when Adobe Reader/Acrobat is in the later versions. If this is the case, I suggest repairing the application by following the steps below:

  1. Close Acrobat/Reader and all open web browser windows.
  2. Select the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
  3. Type Control Panel, then press Enter.
  4. Click Programs and Features and select Acrobat or Adobe Reader, then Uninstall/Change.
  5. In the Setup dialog box, select Next.
  6. Select Repair, then Next.
  7. Select Install. When the process is complete, select Finish.
  8. Restart your computer. Then, sign in to your QBO account.

I'd appreciate it if you'd update me on how the steps work. I want to make sure everything will work well.
