I know a way to enter your opening balance, sbconsult10-gmai.

If you connect your bank and credit card accounts, QuickBooks automatically downloads your historical transactions and enter the opening balance. Otherwise, we'll have to manually enter it.

Before proceeding, please make sure you know the correct balance. Then, Then, here's how to add it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Click New.
  3. Give the account a Name, select an Account Type and a Detail type.
  4.  Add any other details, such as the Default Tax code, as necessary.
  5. In the Balance field, enter the amount in the account and the date.
  6. Once done, click on Save and Close.
  7. Repeat the process for the other accounts.

For more details about the process, please see this article: Enter an opening balance for an account.

If the Balance field is missing, you can add it as a journal entry instead.

In case you'd like to bring over the file from other software to QuickBooks Online, I'd recommend checking out this article. This helps you import your transactions: Migrating Data.

Please keep me posted on how these steps help you out. I'll be here if you need further assistance. Thanks for reaching out to us!

@sbconsult10-gmai

Run the trial balance report in your old system, export it to XLS and import is as journal entry into your QBO account.
