Is it possible to track employee attendance and leave and generate weekly payslips in Quickbooks (RSA)?

I want to move from excel based payslips to quickbooks if possible, but will need to be able to track and record all payroll information for each employee (50+ employees)

You will need to have a 3rd party payroll app to integrate with QBO.

Hello there, kelly. I can help you manage your payroll information in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We can use Journal Entries to record the accounting information for your payroll in QBO. But before you proceed with the steps below, I'd also suggest you reach out to your accountant to guide you further. Also, to ensure the accuracy of your books. If you’re not affiliated with one, you can check our ProAdvisor page and we’ll help find one near you.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the +New button.
  2. Choose Journal Entry.
  3. Enter the payroll payments date under the Date option.
  4. You can add an Entry # for the journal entry (optional).
  5. Then select a Debit and Credit account to use for the transaction.

If you want to make entry easier next time, you can select the Make Recurring option to save the transaction. Next, enter a memorable Template Name and set the Template Type to Unscheduled; select Save Template. Then click Save to confirm changes.

You can also refer to this article for more details: Recording payroll transactions manually.

Feel free to post a reply if you have any other QuickBooks-related concerns. I'll be around. Have a good one!
