You'll be glad to know that you can use one login credential to multiple companies, usercaltexlinmeyer.
If you add more companies in the future, here's how to add them under your existing user ID:
If you already have multiple companies under separate accounts in QuickBooks Online, you can move them all under one account.

Can I do the reverse? Separate multiple companies into separate QuickBook accounts as I am leaving a company?
How do you manage your multi-company data in one QBO account? If you are using the Class/Location feature, you can split data to multiple QBO accounts if needed.
No, the three companies are separate and all three are available to me to open and work on. However, I am separating from one company and need to leave that there and take my two other companies with me under another QuickBooks account.
Are you the Primary Admin of all those accounts?
Yes I am the only administrator so will be transferring the QuickBooks account and one company to the new administrator.
Then I need to take my other two companies and purchase another QuickBooks account for them.
You can invite the new user as Admin anytime, transfer your Primary Admin role to that Admin, and ask the new Primary Admin to remove your access. Then you can open a new blank QBO account if required.

I do not want any other user to have any access to my own two accounts, even temporarily and would like to complete this separation before the end of the year when they take over.
Sorry, I am confused. You have 3 QBO accounts for 3 company files. Correct?
QBO 1 for Company 1, you are the Primary Admin
QBO 2 for Company 2, you are the Primary Admin
QBO 3 for Company 3, you are the Primary Admin
You just need to transfer the Primary Admin role for only one QBO account, not all.
I have one QB account and all three companies are associated with it. I am the admin.
You can create a new Intuit ID with another email address. Invite and assign the new ID as the new Primary Admin for 2 of your own company files. You will keep the 3rd company file with the old ID and ready to transfer the role anytime.
Perfect! How do I do this?
Just create a new email address and invite it as the new user. If you are still confused, contact us in private for assistance.
