Hi has anyone had issues with updating the bank transactions with FNB this past week? QB says it's FNB side and FNB says it's QB side... We keep getting a 105 error code.

I can assist you in resolving the banking error you're facing to retrieve your latest transactions, corelit.

The error 105 indicates an issue on your bank's website, possibly due to maintenance or server problems. You can resolve this by going to your Bank Transactions page and then updating them.

Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Transactions and click on Bank Transactions.
  3. Select Update

If there's still an error, please check the following information on your online banking account with First National Bank or FNB:

  • To start, access your bank or credit card's website and sign in. In case you're unable to sign in, contact your bank or credit card company to learn about the necessary steps to follow.
  • Once you're in, check for any messages, notifications or alerts. These should inform you if any issues need your attention.
  • Next, go through your account pages, account history, and transactions. If you're unable to view these, it could be due to a connectivity problem.

Check the following article for more information about banking errors 105 and how to resolve them: Fix bank errors 102 and 105.

If none of these works, there's an ongoing issue with First National Bank. Some of our customers are encountering errors 163 and 105. Rest assured that our Product Engineering team is already aware of these issues and is working to improve the connection between the bank and QuickBooks Online.

To address the issue, I recommend getting in touch with our Customer Support Team. They will add you to the list of affected users and notify you via email once we have resolved the issue. To reach our Customer Support for QBO, click on the Help icon located at the top-right corner of your account and ask them to add you to Investigation No. 94788. You can also refer to this article for more information about the different types of support we offer and their availability: QuickBooks Online Support.

While we're still working on a fix, you can manually add your bank transactions. Here's more information about downloading the transactions from the bank. Then, upload the file to your account: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online

Once we resolve the issue or after you upload those transactions to your account, here's how you can categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

Let me know if you need more information or assistance in resolving the banking error you're encountering with FNB. Stay safe, and have a great day!
