Usually, you can either use the 3-column or the 4-column format for your file. The 3 column format consists of your transaction's date, description, and amount. On the other hand, the 4 column includes the date, description, credit, and debit columns.

Once your file is formatted correctly, follow these steps to upload them into QuickBooks Online.

Importing bank data in QuickBooks is a breeze, @charles17.
When importing bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you need to make sure that the CSV file matches the format of the transactions inside the program. For the date format, you can either select mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy. For more info, check out this link: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Once ready, you can now import your bank transactions to QBO:

Once transactions are in, you'll now need to categorise and match and match them in QBO. This is to ensure that they are in the correct account.
