Hello, I am the only person who uses QBO in our company. I am currently the Primary Admin user. I see that we do not have a Company Admin user.
1) So I would like to know what is the difference between a Primary Admin user and a Company Admin user?
2) Also, is it important to have a Company Admin user?
3) And if So, how can I become a Company Admin user?
Please answer the first 3 questions and then this one: 4) The issue that led me to my questions is this: How do I turn off automatic downloading of banking transactions.? 5) And what level of user can turn it off?
Thank you so much.

Hello, CleanH2O.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let me explain the difference between the Primary Admin user and the Company Admin user and their roles.
The main user, also known as the Primary admin, who has complete access to all aspects of the QuickBooks account. They are responsible for managing all users and handling any administrative tasks that may come up. The individual who created the account is automatically designated as the primary admin.
While as a Company admin, you have access to every part of the QuickBooks account. You can do everything the primary admin can do except for editing or removing their access. This ensures that the primary admin always has control over the account while still allowing you to manage it efficiently.
Yes, it's important to have the company admin as they can do everything in the account. They have all the access to the account. It's crucial to have someone with that level of authority and responsibility in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Becoming a Company Admin is easy, you can request admin transfer the rights to you, or as a primary admin, you can then log in as primary contact and make the changes. To do this, please follow these steps:

With regards to how do I turn off automatic downloading of banking transactions, and what level of user can turn it off? Once you connect your bank account to QuickBooks, the system will automatically download the transactions every night. It's a helpful feature that saves you time and ensures that your financial records are always up-to-date. Plus, it's a safe and secure way to manage your finances without the hassle of manual data entry. With QuickBooks, you can focus on running your business while the system takes care of the rest. The only way to turn off the automatically downloaded transaction of your banking is to disconnect the bank account in QuickBooks.
Once your bank account is connected to the system, there is no way to stop a downloaded transaction, regardless of your level of access.
If you have any other concerns about your QuickBooks account, please feel free to leave a comment. I am available to assist you at any time. I hope you have a wonderful day!
