access to qbo

I can't access qbo through edge or chrome, when I use avast secure browser there is no problem. This started about 10 days ago. What might cause this? I tried clearing cache and cookies, uninstalled and re-installed chrome but no success.

Thank you for searching our Community space for potential solutions. If you haven't already, Janmaun, this solution will help you resolve your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

I appreciate you performing some troubleshooting steps to resolve this. I checked the records, and there is no record of this case. QBO requires some browser settings to be loaded. Here's how to get them started:

  1. Check if your browser works with QuickBooks Online.
  2. JavaScript and pop-ups are some of the browser settings QuickBooks Online needs to load its pages. Make sure they’re turned on.
  3. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.

Then, try signing in to QuickBooks Online directly. If you are unable to access the page, here is another method to sign in:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks official site.
  2. Hover on Sign In, then select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, the security of your device may prevent QBO from functioning. When adding the program to your browser's trusted sites list, you can make an exception for it. Here's how it's done:

  1. Find out how to add trusted sites to your browser.
  2. Add these links to your browser’s trusted sites.
  1. Restart your browser.
  2. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.

If the same thing happens, sometimes all you need is a fresh start. Do a quick restart to clear the current state and issues in the background of your device:

  1. Turn off your computer and your internet modem. If you use a wireless router or server, unplug it.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds, then turn on your modem. After another 30 seconds, plug in your router or server.
  3. Turn on your computer, then sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  4. Turn off your computer and your internet modem. If you use a wireless router or server, unplug it.
  5. Wait for 30 seconds, then turn on your modem. After another 30 seconds, plug in your router or server.
  6. Turn on your computer.
  7. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.

In case you need help with another task in QuickBooks Online, feel free to visit our general help topics page. Just type your concern in the search field and this page will route you to the related help articles, Community discussions, video tutorials, and more.

I tried all that and more, eventually had to reinstall windows. Everything working fine now. Still don't know what might have caused this inconvenience.
