Case 15100313121 is still experienced by all Capitec customers - Error 192
"Capitec Bank - Personal Banking uses a security method that prevents us from adding it. Sign in to your bank's site, then try connecting again in a few hours. (192)"
I was issued a new case number 15111069571.
Kindly don't respond with that standard message to say that in the meantime we can upload via CSV answer, that is NOT a workable solution. We buy professional products like Quickbooks and expect them to work accordingly. Please escalate this matter and kindly get the problem resolved.
Have there been any updates with this issue with Capitec? I have been receiving the same Error 192 message. I have been using Quickbooks for my business using my FNB account and wanted to link my personal account (Capitec) to manage my personal income and expenses too but have been unable to do so.
I'll update you on the Capitec Bank connectivity error message in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @catandbearcpt.
Upon checking with error code 192 when connecting your Capitec Bank in QBO has already been closed. This error message indicates that your bank has a security measure that requires additional information, preventing QBO from automatically downloading banking transactions.
Since you're still experiencing the connectivity error, I suggest contacting our Customer Care team again to open a new ticket for investigation.
Here's how:
In the meantime, you can also upload your bank transactions manually to QBO.
Additionally, you can visit this article to learn how to categorize your transactions to put them into the correct accounts: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
