Hi all,
Is there a way to map Custom fields on Invoices to fields on the Customer record?
IE: Custom Field Name = "Contact Email" ----> Map to Customer record "Email"
Custom Field Name = "Contact Phone No" ----> Map to Customer record "Mobile"
Hello, @Capstone-33.
I'm here to share some information about mapping Custom Fields to customer records in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Mapping custom fields to the customer's email and mobile number is not an option in QBO. The Custom Fields are available in the QuickBooks Fields drop-down and aren't intended for any auto-filled fields. These only allow you to manually enter data when creating the transaction.
However, you'll have to enter the customer info when creating customer records in QuickBooks to show the details on invoices.
I'm also adding these articles as your guide in tracking salespersons on the sales form.

Hi DebSheenD,
Thank you for your response. However, it reflects a short coming in QBOL. Take a senario where as a QBOL user, you are providing Product & Services to medium and large organisations. The client could have many individuals or departments that want to purchase from you. They would reasonably expect you to provide information on your Invoice referencing the individual or department that has ordered your product/services.
I guess a 'work around' would be to add custom fields to the invoice and 'copy 'n paste' information from the customer record each time an invoice is captured. Not ideal.
@Capstone-33 Did you find a solution for this? I am facing the same issue. Trying to find a way to map and auto-fill custom fields from invoicing to customer record fields.
Thank you for joining this conversation, Aparajita. Your willingness to engage and contribute to this discussion about how to map and auto-fill custom fields from invoicing customers' record fields.
The option to map custom fields and autofill isn't currently available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Nevertheless, we value your input and ideas about having this option and recommend you submit a feature suggestion directly to our Product Development Team.
