How do I connect to the Quickbooks service or dataset after I launch the Power BI app from Quickbooks?
Thanks for posting here, @Jualande,
We want to make sure you're able to integrate a third-party app into QuickBooks, but we need to make sure if it is compatible. We'll need to contact their support provider for help and additional instructions on how to integrate their product to our software.
I found this link in our app website for Power BI with their contact details. See it here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/powerbi/en-us/
You can also find an IT guy or tech experts to help you with the app integration.
If you have any more concerns about syncing applications with QuickBooks, feel free to post here again. I'll be right here to help you. Have a nice day!
Greetings,
For the needs of one of our client who runs business within QuickBooks, we need to connect to his QuickBooks database via Power BI.
Do we need an additional license for this? Are there any additional settings or configurations that need to be adjusted. And do you have documentation on the structure of the database (tables, fields, relations) - so that when we connect, we can analyze the data a little easier.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Kind regards,
Thanks for checking this out in the Community, Marko4.
Can you tell us if you're using USA version of QBO? If so, Power BI is one of the third-party apps that can be integrated with QuickBooks Online. This partnership lets you create an operational dashboard over your QBO data in minutes. Power BI also lets you analyze your balance sheet, cash flow, profitability, customers, and vendors all in one place.
However, it's best to directly reach out to Power BI. They can give you all the information you need about the settings, documentation, and structure of the database. Go to to this link to get their contact details: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/powerbi/en-us/.
If you're using a localized or international version, you might need a connector app to link QBO and Power Bi. This is because the integration is only offered for USA customers at the moment. Here's how you can find an approved and accredited connector app:
