Customer statement has a credit balance but I am unable to create a statement for them that reflects the credit balance.

Let me share this overview I have about the customer statements,@johan3.

To show the credit balance on the customer statement, make sure to select the Balance Forward statement type. I’ll provide you the steps on how to perform this.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu on the left panel.
  2. Select the Customers tab.
  3. Check the box beside the customer you want to make a statement.
  4. Select Create statements in the Batch actions drop-down ▼.
  5. Choose the type of statement Balance Forward in the Statement Type drop-down ▼.
  6. Fill in the date fields and hit Apply.
  7. Click Save and Close or Save and send.

If you're trying to correct an opening balance for a reconciled account, you can visit this article here: Customize and view customer statements.

If you have any other questions, please reply to the thread in the comment section. We’re here to help you. Take care.

Hi there, @johan3

Let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps so we can determine if this is web related issue.

You can try use incognito window, this mode prevent browsing history from being stored.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)

If it works, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to free up storage space and boost your operating system performance.

Alternately, you can use other supported browsers.

This will helps you get back on the right track. Please let me know if you have other questions. I'm here to help you.
