How do I change the banking details appearing at the bottom of the statement for a customer?

Hi koos.marietjie, thanks for sharing your query here.

I believe that you might be asking about the display of the invoice instead of the statement as the statement in QBO doesn't display any banking details.

Here's how you can edit the footer or message to customers in your invoice..
1.) Click on the gear icon at the top right
2.) Select Custom Form Styles
3.) Click on Content and then click on the bottom portion of the preview on the right
4.) Here's where you can make the text entry such as your banking details for your customer.
Be sure to click on Done after you've make the changes to save them

I would like to confirm that "IntuitKaiXiang" is correct - the way to change the footer of the customer statement is by changing the invoice template. There is no place to edit a template specifically for the customer statement, rather the customer statement will use the same template as your invoices. I have multiple invoice template styles, but it appears that my customer statement was using whichever template is designated as the "Master" form type. This is shown on the custom form styles page (Gear Icon -> Custom Form Styles). By editing the Master template you can update the information shown on your customer statements.

Changing bank details. I have changed my banking details on all forms. All forms and banking details are correct but when I want to send the invoice it still shows the old details. I have edited the master/standard document. Every where I look it shows my new banking details but the minute I want to send an invoice it shows the old details. When I do banking it is connected to the correct account. I don't know what to do....

How do I change the banking details appearing at the bottom of the statement for a customer?

A bit late of a reply, but I found the answer to this today while getting the same issue.

The details are being saved on another template design, which is pulling through on your emails but not showing in your template amendment previews. It probably happened during the initial set up where the first template design Airy New was used to create the look of the invoice before you switched over to a different design, which is what happened to me.

1. Go to custom form styles in settings

2. Edit the template

3. On design, click change up the template & click through all the templates until you find one that shows the EFT details that are causing the error - in my case, I was using the Friendly design but Airy New was the cause of the issue. So select that troublesome one (Airy New) & select add your EFT details.

4. Delete out these / amend them to the correct one & save

5. New details are updated & you can move back to your preferred template now.

Hopefully, this helps someone else too!

How do I change the banking details appearing at the bottom of the statement for a customer?

Hello, ramprentacar.

Thank you for reaching out to us. If the bank details are on the template, you can update the template, but if the bank details are on the body of the email, update the Message content in the Sales settings.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select Sales, modify the info under Messages.
  3. Tap Save and Done.
