Management reports and custom reports

I created a custom report  and minimized the detail for sub-accounts and saved.  However, when this custom report is added to the management reports, the full detail is following through and not the reduced formatting as saved in the custom report.

How do I fix this?

Management reports and custom reports

Welcome to the Community, JuanJHAccountants.

Issues with saving your customized Management reports can be caused by a browser. Let's try using a private browser or incognito window as an initial step on fixing this issue. This will eliminate any browser history that may cause a glitch inside QuickBooks. You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, try customizing the report again, then close out the private window and clear the cache on the regular browser. This will remove previously-stored browsing data that might have caused the issue. Otherwise, you can try other supported browsers to help narrow down the cause of this behavior.

I've added this great resources for reference in case you want to learn how to customize reports in QBO: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

You might want to visit the following link to become more familiar with the features and functions of QBO:

Be sure to drop me a reply if you have additional questions while managing reports. I'd be more than happy to help. Stay safe and have a good one.

Management reports and custom reports

From

"Also, I can share some clarification on your question about the Balance Sheet in the Management reports section. Currently, an option or ability to hide the sub-accounts like what you did in the custom report is unavailable. The system is designed to show detailed information about the main accounts and sub-accounts.

As a workaround, you can download the report as a PDF. Once you have a copy, you can search for a third-party app to help you remove unnecessary information."

I  also posted the question on the us community and it was their response. A different browser does not fix the issue, this solution that you are giving is for the print preview error.

I used both Chrome and Firefox non of them work.

I have suggested it to Quickbooks as feedback, according to them it is not on their roadmap
