Reconciliation Discrepancy Report

The amount I am off in the reconciliation is exactly the amount that is showing on the RDR. I'm not familiar with QB and not sure how to fix this issue. Looks like the amounts were deleted. I am confused however because I search the amount $5336.00 and I see this amount, the Bill entries as well as the Bill Payment entries, which looks correct. However, the other three amounts do not show up at all.  The other three definitely seem to be deleted. I searched the last reconciliation report and all transactions were cleared. (?)

Reconciliation Discrepancy Report

I'm here to help, @Cookie19.

Let's open the Audit Log of your QuickBooks Online account and check if those three transactions were deleted. I'd be glad to guide you through the steps.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Tools, select Audit Log.
  3. In the Filter drop-down menu, customize your preferred date, then mark Transactions and select Deleted/Voided Transactions from the Show drop-down menu. 1.png
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Select and open the deleted transactions that match the discrepancy amount and copy the details to the new transaction.

Here's an article for more information on how to fix reconciliation discrepancies: Resolve Reconciliation Differences.

I also suggest reaching out to your accountant for further assistance. Your accountant can provide you expert ways of dealing with this situation.

However, if there are no deleted transactions in your audit log. Let's filter the date in your reconciliation report and reconciliation page. Also, make sure that you choose the right bank in your reconciliation.

For future reference, you can check this article for the detailed steps: Undo and Remove Transactions from Reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

As always, feel free to leave a comment below. I'll be around to help.
