Thank you for visiting us today, @usertkples001. I've got some troubleshooting steps to make sure you can view the taxes tab in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In your version of QBO, you can select the VAT tab to see all of your VAT returns and record VAT payments for the current period. If there's no VAT tab from the Menu, I suggest clicking the pencil icon beside it and reviewing if the VAT tab is checked. Refer to the screenshot below for your visual reference:
If you can't see the VAT menu from the available menus, I suggest viewing your VAT tab through a private/incognito window if you haven't tried it. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. Here are the shortcut keys:
If you can see it using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too. They'll provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.
Additionally, you can check out this article to learn more about how you can run reports for your VAT liabilities, record or edit VAT payments, and see your payments for different periods: Manage VAT payments in QuickBooks Online.
You can always add a reply or post here again if you need further assistance with managing your VAT returns in QBO. I assure you that I will respond promptly and provide the necessary support whenever you need it.
