Glad to see you again here in the Community, @dolphin-man.
You've got me here to help you get past on the bank issue with HSBC Business account-HK in QuickBooks Online.
If it's your first time to connect your online bank and credit card accounts, QuickBooks Online automatically downloads the last 90 days of transactions. If you don’t see new transactions from your bank. We can update your account manually to refresh its connection.
Here's how:
For complete details on what to do if bank transactions are not downloaded in QBO, please check out this article: What to do if you can’t find downloaded bank transactions.
However, if you need more than 90 days of transactions, you can export additional historical transactions from the bank and upload them into your QuickBooks company. To do that, please refer to the steps found in this article: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.
Also, here are some articles about fixing online banking issues and categorizing transactions in QBO for your future reference:
If doing this doesn't make a difference, I'd suggest reaching out to your financial institution. This is because QuickBooks is dependent on the information that was transmitted from your bank.

I can't get my Hong Kong HSBC accounts to connect to QB either. I don't think it has the capability. If anyone has gotten this to work please say how! Thanks.
Hello there, audrey2,
You should be able to connect HSBC (Hong Kong) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). See the attached screenshot below for your visual guide.
I recommend using the bank URL upon searching from the list. QBO will automatically show different HSBC accounts that are already integrated in the system.
If you're still unable to connect it, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Care Team. They can further investigate why you're unable to connect the bank.
Here's how to contact them:

Hello. This functionality no longer seems to be working. I have been forced to manually download and upload the bank feed for all of our accounts individually since August 2022.
Is there any plan on restoring this functionality? If not, you should delete the "HSBC Business (HK)" option from your list of supported banks as you clearly don't support it.
Hello there, saurabha. Thank you for joining this thread.
I see how important to link your bank account and get your bank data seamlessly. To proceed, I'd like to know if you've seen the HSBC Business (HK) when following these steps.
If you can see it on the lists, the HSBC is still supported in QuickBooks. However, I'd recommend contacting your bank to verify the status of the HSBC bank in QuickBooks. They can also provide accurate details about it. If it doesn’t appear on the lists, we can request support from your bank. Here's how:
I've gathered a few articles for you. These resources provide details on how we can keep your bank data accurate from time to time.
You're always welcome to post more if you have concerns about connecting banks in QuickBooks and handling bank data. Take care and stay safe.
Tried that. It doesn't work.
Neither does HSBC Personal syncing for personal credit cards since October 2022.
