Thank you for purchasing QuickBooks Online for your business, Proven UAE!

The Multi-currency feature is only available in the Essentials and Plus plans. If you have the Simple Start plan, you can upgrade it to Essentials. See about turning on and using multi-currency.

On the other hand, check out the comparison to see what features you can have when you upgrade your plan. Here are the steps to upgrade:

  1. Select Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription menu.
  3. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade your plan. If you don't see it, you’re already using the plan with the most features.
  4. Choose a plan and select Choose plan.
  5. Select Get started.

Let me know if you have more questions about multi-currencies.

Home Currency

Hello, Proven UAE.

The reason why you're unable to change the home currency is that the Multicurrency feature is already turned on (as seen on your screenshot). The system does this so it won't mess up your books.

I have three ways to handle this and I'm more than happy to share the steps with you.

Is this a recent QuickBooks Online subscription (less than 60 days)? If so, you'll want to purge your company so you can change the home currency. Here's how:

  1. In your current QuickBooks Online subscription, go to the homepage: https://c34.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage.
  2. Replace /homepage with /purgecompany.
  3. It will take you to the next screen. When asked, type Yes, then click OK
  4. Proceed with the data purge.

If this is an old subscription, you also have the option to cancel it and subscribe to a new one with a different home currency. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription.

After canceling, sign up for a new one here. Then, change the home currency and turn on your Multicurrency.

If cancelling the subscription isn't viable, then you can keep the current home currency. You can use a different currency when setting up your customers.  QuickBooks will use it whenever you create a transaction under that customer.
