From time to time Quickbooks wants to send me verification code to my email account as an additional logging step, is it possible to turn it off, so after user is verified once it only requires login and password for accessing system?

I can share some information about turning off QuickBooks email verification, lukaszkot.
That verification process is a security enhancement on top of the usual password requirement. It works as an extra layer of security wherein a one-time confirmation code is given when you log in.
You'll just have to log in to your Intuit account to turn that off.

Thank you for quick response. 2FA verification is turned off on my side, but still from time to time ( once in few days, sometimes once in few hours, hard to find any regularity to be honest ) it wants to send code. Any ideas how to get rid off it?

I got you covered in turning off the authentication when logging into QuickBooks.
There are times that even if your two-step verification is turned off, you will be asked to verify your identity. It is due to several factors, such as the device, network, or browser you use to sign in to Intuit products. So, if we can't establish high confidence or trust based on these factors, you may be prompted for this to make sure your account is not compromised.
But, if you're sure you're signing in from a trusted device, you could still be asked to verify your identity due to external factors, such as an ad blocker. In this point, either add the *.intuit.com domain to your ad blocker's allow list or disable your ad blocker specifically for the *.intuit.com domain.

Regarding this:

Is there any way to make this confidence high all the time to avoid additional verification? Some browser settings, cookies, cache?

Appreciate the time you've taken in sharing your experience, @lukaszkot. I want to ensure this matter is addressed timely by sharing additional insights about multifactor authentication in QuickBooks Online.
To begin with, the captcha and code system is one of the needed authentications upon logging in to your account for security reasons. Yes, two-factor authentication mostly happens for fresh login attempts.
Have you performed some troubleshooting recently, like clearing the cache of the current browser you're using? This can be the reason why the multifactor authentication has been triggered and you're asked to complete the process upon logging in to your account.
On that same page, the preferences you made for the accounts displayed upon successful logins can be removed along with the settings made after performing a few troubleshooting steps.
Meanwhile, several factors as described above may trigger additional login confirmation to ensure you're logged in with trusted credentials. And, no browser settings to set up these preference since Intuit products is not in control of these factors.

Being specific mostly run chrome browser in headless mode, which is used in test automation process. When I troubleshoot this it shows me that Intuit wants to send code each time during logging process. If chrome run in regular way, not headless, then code verification is triggered only once in a while. Do you know maybe why Intuit's behaves differently in different modes?

For security reasons, there's no way to fully deactivate all account verification. We understand it can be inconvenient, but we take security very seriously when it comes to people's business and financial well-being, so we thank you for your patience in completing extra steps from time to time when logging in to your QuickBooks Online account.
In addition, when you're in incognito mode, certain data isn't saved or stored which would prompt Intuit to request verification more often. Outside of incognito mode, Intuit can access saved verification data, meaning that you don't have to verify as often.

I cleared my cache and ever since then I have to get email codes, but then I realized I had my NORD VPN on and once I turned that off, I no longer have to have emails sent. Honestly, I got that service when I was working from a hotel and often it just causes me more problems with websites than it's worth.
