VAT

Hi there,

 

My business is not VAT registered, and it will not let me buy a plan without a VAT number.

 

Can you please advise?

It's great to have you here, Graphics1. I understand how important it is to make sure your business file is set up accurately.

 

QuickBooks Online supports VAT by default. Since you'll not be using this feature, I'd recommend setting your VAT codes to Out of Scope of Tax or No VAT. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Under the Accounting section, click the edit icon.
  4. Change Default tax rate selection to No VAT.

  5. Click Save and then Done.
