Mr. and Mrs. Qickbook
We bought the QBK version for accountants and we are studying the application and the possibilities it gives us.
After making sure that it works for us and learning how to use it, we will migrate the information from our systems to QBK.
The first difficulty we found is that many of our clients have a company where they need to see reports and accounting in two currencies.
In Uruguay, the economy is bi—currency. Some sales and expenses are in Uruguayan pesos; in the same company, some other deals and costs are in dollars.
We need to account for expenses in Uruguayan pesos and dollars in each case. For that, we charge an exchange rate for each operation. Even our central bank issues the official exchange rate used for taxes daily. Our accounting programs import the exchange rate daily from the Uruguayan Central Bank's website.
Is it possible in Quickbook, for a single company account in two currencies?
Can we help Quickbook to make this possible?
We offer to test what you are proposing, as we want this capability in the application.
We have clients in the USA who already work with QBK. They know and are used to the program and would like us to use it in Uruguay for their companies here. But we need it to be bi-monetary.
Thank you very much.
Hi there, estudiogranjaflorencia.
QuickBooks Online offers a multicurrency feature. With this, you can assign foreign currencies to your suppliers, customers. and accounts in your Chart of Accounts. It helps you record foreign transactions easily without worrying about exchange rate conversions.
