How to export the data from the cancelled company to the active company (QBO)?

I had a trial version and unfortunately, we subscribed 50% off plan so it's created another company (same name). Now we want to export the cancelled company data to a new active company we exported the data but the import is not working correctly.

How to export the data from the cancelled company to the active company (QBO)?

I know a way on how you can successfully import data from your cancelled company to the new and active one, @backup.ommaxelec. Follow along below to get this done right away.

You did an awesome job exporting the data from your cancelled company. Before we proceed to the next step, may I know if you encountered any error messages when performing the import process? Any additional information is a great help to get closer to the resolution.

In the meantime, you can do some browser troubleshooting steps to isolate the import issue. We can start with accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in incognito mode. There are times that you encounter issues when the cache and cookies stored on your browser got corrupted or damaged. This process is one of the best resolutions for this.

Below are the shortcut keys you can use depending on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Safari: Command + Option + P.

Once signed in, attempt to import the data again. When doing this task, ensure that you use a supported file type to prevent errors. If this works, you'll now have to clear your regular browser's cache to eliminate corrupted files and to have a clean slate. However, if the same thing happens, I recommend running your QBO account using another supported browser or device as an alternative. Might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.

Running reports in QBO is easy. The program not just helps you keep track of your business transaction but also summarize your company data under specific categories. I'm always willing and ready to help in case you have additional concerns about importing data to QBO. It's a pleasure to assist and ensure you achieve your goal. Have a good one. Take care.
