Adding project template

Hi rtacs-ph,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, and thank you for getting help with projects. Let's check to see why you're unable to save more templates.

Having an unclickable or grayed-out Save button means you're missing necessary details, such as the Project name or Due date. Might as well check out these fields. However, they are pretty basic details that can be easily spotted when creating a template, so let's move on to doing the browser troubleshooting steps. This way, we can determine if the behavior is caused by random browser issues.

To start, you'll want to sign in to QuickBooks using a private or incognito browser. In this mode, QuickBooks pages load without using data from cached files, so the data being used comes directly from Intuit's server. Therefore, it is a good way to test and compare how pages behave, and to determine whether you need to remove the cached files. Cached files can be outdated or misconfigured causing issues on webpages (QuickBooks pages).

Shortcut key combination to open a private or incognito browser:

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

If you're able to save your template while you're on a private browser, you'll want to clear the cached files. Trying a different browser is also another step that you'll want to consider if browsing privately or clearing the cache do not resolve the issue.

Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you need more assistance. We're just around to help until we get this resolved.
