I feel you, and if something breaks in a software, I get frustrated as you are.
A cache-related issue might be causing the invoices to duplicate as you create them. We can confirm this by using an incognito or private window. This is a great way to rule out any cache-related issues in QuickBooks Online. First, follow these shortcut keys to open it:
Next, create an invoice as you normally would. If it's not duplicating, then you'll want to go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This will remove the data that's causing the issue.
Finally, close out any of your browser's window so the system will use the new cache data.
Alternatively, you can also fix this by using another supported browser.
