Welcome to QuickBooks, leonardo-ledelab.
The multicurrency feature is available in our Essentials and Plus versions. You'll want to upgrade the version of QuickBooks that you're currently using.
Here's how to do it:
Once you're done with the upgrade, you already have the option to turn on the multicurrency feature. For more information about multicurrency, please read this article: Turn On And Use Multicurrency.
I have also added these help articles in QuickBooks Online in case you have additional questions.
Please let me know if you need further assistance. I'd be happy to help.
No. You must upgrade to Essentials or Plus. Keep in mind, the discounted rate is not applicable when upgrading your plan.
Multicurrency isn't available in the Simple Start version, ERA-JGO.
As mentioned by Fiat Lux - Asia, you'll have to upgrade to the Essential or Plus to use the feature. To do so, I've outlined the steps below:

I have the QuickBooks Online Essentials subscription. I am trying to setup the Multicurrency feature but cannot locate the Currency Section.
Using the instructions I pasted below, I select Settings -> Account and settings -> Advanced, but there is no Currency section.
Within the Advanced area I can select the following sections: Accounting, Validate Books, Validation and Year-end Closing, Automation, Language, Other Preferences.
Based on what I can see in various help sections, the Essentials subscription should have the Multicurrency feature.
Welcome back to the Community space, @rainawillick.
I'm here to ensure that you can turn on the multi-currency feature in QuickBooks.
To start, can you send a screenshot of your Advanced setting? This way, I can provide other troubleshooting steps and help you turn on the multi-currency feature.
For now, I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. The stored cache in your browser can affect the performance of QuickBooks Online that can cause unexpected behavior like unable to see the Multi-currency feature.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once signed in, go to the Advanced column and turn on the multi-currency option from there. If it works, let's clear the cache of your browser. This helps remove its stored cache to improve the program's performance.
If you get the same issue while using a private browser, I recommend to use other supported browser as alternatives.
I'll be sharing these links that will guide you in setting up multi-currency and answer your answer your questions about the feature:
Let me know how this goes, and leave a reply below if you have any other concerns with QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
Thank you so much for the quick response. I tried using private windows for Edge, Chrome and Firefox as well as clearing the cache and restarting each browser. But no luck, there is still no sign of a Currency section in my Advanced Settings.
I have attached a screenshot of the Advanced Settings section. The picture shows that there is still a small amount of browser space at the top of the browser to scroll up. However, there is nothing to see when you scroll up, the picture only partially obscures the topmost line of the settings (First Month of the Financial Year).
I am currently working and residing in France and have purchased the French version of the application. I use the English language setting in Quickbooks as I am a native English speaker.
Thank you again for your assistance.
Thanks for getting back into this thread, @rainawillick.
I appreciate you for letting us know that you're using the French version of QuickBooks Online (QBO). This helps me determine that the multi-currency feature is not available in the QBO France version. In the meantime, I suggest integrating a third-party app that lets you use a multi-currency function.
I recognize how beneficial the multi-currency feature is for you and your business. That said, I recommend sending your feedback to our Product Development Team. They can review your suggestions and might make some adjustments in the next update. Here's how:

Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns about managing your QBO account. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Have a great day ahead!
If you are using QBO France version, consider opening a Wise Business account to deal with multi currency as a workaround and integrate it with QBO.
