hi, is it possible to change home currency if multicurrency is activated? it was turned on by mistake ;(

QuickBooks Online (QBO) multicurrency feature allows you to record, track, and manage transactions in multiple foreign currencies, @info2198. Let's dive into more details about this.

This feature streamlines currency conversions, helping you maintain accurate financial records across borders. However, it's essential to know that once you activate this feature, your home currency becomes permanent and cannot be changed.

It also can't be turned off once it's activated, ensuring consistency in your financial reporting and preserving the integrity of your historical data. Please check out this article to learn more: Set up and use Multicurrency in QuickBooks.

hi, is it possible to change home currency if multicurrency is activated? it was turned on by mistake ;(

Recently, a new currency was introduced in my country. After the switch was implemented in QuickBooks Online, I began experiencing issues specifically, my payees are no longer appearing. I understand that the QBO support team is currently working on resolving the issue. I understand that switching back to the old currency enables me to continue doing my administration while they are solving the problem. However, since the Multicurrency feature cannot be turned off, I’m unable to switch the currency back to the previous one.

Hello, info2198 I appreciate you getting in touch. I understand how challenging it must be to suddenly lose track of your payees, especially after a change in currency. Together, we can identify the issue and help you get back on track.

Beforehand, can you please specify where your payees aren’t appearing in QuickBooks? Does it happen when entering transactions for suppliers? This information can help us identify the best approach to help you.

In the meantime, let’s consider clearing your browser cache. Corrupted data can lead to unexpected behavior, including the issue you're currently experiencing with your payee.

For complete guidance, click your browser below:

If the issue persists, you'll want to use a different supported and updated browser to rule out any problems tied to the one you're currently using.

Regarding your concern with turning off multi-currency, our option is to create a new subscription and cancel your current one. When you cancel, you’ll have access to your account until the end of the billing cycle. To better assist you in choosing the plan that suits your business needs, contact our Live Support team.

I understand that this isn't ideal, especially since Multicurrency is a permanent setting, but I hope that the steps above will help your payees regain access or at the very least serve as a guide for your next course of action. Do not hesitate to contact us again if the problem continues or if you require additional one-on-one assistance. Have a great day!
