Hi I chose partnership/Limited company format for a client which is a partnership but it brings up a Limited company format. Any solutions here please?

Help has arrived, @Raymond0410.

I'd like to make sure that you'll be able to have the right company type for your client.

When setting up your client's account, you'll need to select the accurate business type, so this will reflect on your company information. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference:

However, if you've selected the incorrect business type, you'll need to create a new account for your client so you can select Partnership.

Know that you can use the email and user ID of the main company during the sign-up process. Doing this makes you easier to switch between these two companies inside QuickBooks.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/ to select a product for the new subscription.
  2. Once you choose your plan, you'll be routed to the Create an Intuit account page.
  3. Click Sign in.
  4. Enter the main company's email or user ID and password. It won't route you to the main company. You're only using the same login credentials.
  5. Click Sign in with email.
  6. Enter your payment information, then Get Started.

Once you're inside the new LLC, you can switch to the main company quickly. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️.
  2. Under Profile, click Switch Company.
  3. From the list, select the company you want to switch to.

I've added this link to help you navigate with the new account: Getting Started With QuickBooks Online.

You can also refer to the Sign in to multiple QuickBooks Online companies with one user ID to learn more about this feature.

Don't hesitate to contact me if there's anything else I can help you with QuickBooks. Just tag my name, and I'll get back to provide the information you need.
