I'd like to make sure that you'll be able to have the right company type for your client.
When setting up your client's account, you'll need to select the accurate business type, so this will reflect on your company information. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference:
However, if you've selected the incorrect business type, you'll need to create a new account for your client so you can select Partnership.
Know that you can use the email and user ID of the main company during the sign-up process. Doing this makes you easier to switch between these two companies inside QuickBooks.
