Hi! :) I'm trying to change my company's country from the Philippines to the U.S. I'm not sure why it defaulted to the Philippines.

I've already tried trying to find the country setting in the address settings and couldn't find it

Hi! :) I'm trying to change my company's country from the Philippines to the U.S. I'm not sure why it defaulted to the Philippines.

It's crucial to have the correct country settings to ensure the accuracy of sales tax calculations and compliance in QuickBooks Online, GrapexCherry.

We're unable to change the country settings because each country has different billing codes.

However, you can create a new subscription with the correct regional settings. I'd be glad to show you how.

First, go to this link and choose the subscription that you need for your business: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/

Second, return to the first account and export the lists (Chart of Accounts, customers, vendors, products, and service items) to Excel. You can import them into the new account.

Check out these articles that provide detailed instructions:

Lastly, be sure to cancel the old account so you're not paying for an extra subscription. Here's an article that can guide you through the process: Cancel Your QuickBooks Online Subscription Or Trial.

Once you've created your new QBO USA account, I recommend checking out these helpful articles for more guidance:

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance from the QuickBooks Team while on the process of moving to the right version of QBO. Whether it's getting started with QBO or handling any bookkeeping tasks, we're here to help you.

@GrapexCherry

Did you just sign up for a new QBO US account or do you need to convert data from QBO Global version?
