QuickBooks Online (QBO) is cloud-based software where users can access reports anywhere from multiple devices as long as they have access to the Internet. While QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) can only be accessed from a computer if it's installed on regardless of Internet connection.

Until now I was using the online option of QB which was through the Internet & now if I download the app & instal it on my desktop & use like pass entries in offline QB will it be updated in my company or it has to be used as online through clod platform?
I see the convenience of using QuickBooks Online (QBO) even without an internet connection. However, it's an online platform therefore you need a connection for it to work. Yes, it has a desktop app, which was discontinued on April 20, 2021, but it still needs internet.
On the other hand, we have a QuickBooks Desktop that can be used without a net. But as of now, it's only offered in the US, the UK, and Canada.
