What could be the reason why I dont have accounting tab at the settings?

Please note that the Accounting tab used to be located on the left menu before the QBO update. Now, after the update, you can find it within Account and Settings in the upper right corner of your screen. Let me walk you through finding the Accounting tab in your QBO account.

Here's how:

1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Go to Settings, then hit Account and settings under the Your Company column.
   
3. Click the Advanced tab, and from there, you will find the Accounting tab.

Accounting settings let you modify the first month of the fiscal year, the first month of the income tax year, your accounting method, and the closing date of your books.
