Why is the QBO FR software being updated when the software is being discontinued?

Exactly, @usernicky. The QuickBooks will no longer be available in France. Let me share and explain it further for you.

All the existing QuickBooks accounts for France will be unable to subscribe to the same account for entrepreneurs and accountants until December 31, 2023. Thus, the product still receives feature improvements at the moment until the discontinuation date.

Despite the fact of the discontinuation policy, the QuickBooks subscription is free starting February 1, 2023.

If you are using QBO France version, you should explore QBO Global version as as one of the options to switch. You can purchase a 3rd party conversion service if required.

I didn't know there was a Global version.  The US and UK versions are well known.  I am definitely interested in the Global version and will try to find more information asap.

Sadly the Global and EU versions do not support companies based in France.

The Global version does not support companies based in France.  When you select your country it takes you to the QBO France site.  So disappointing and frustrating.

As long as QBO France version is still available for use, you cannot sign up for the new QBO Europe version with an address in France. You can use a "dummy" address in another country (eg Germany, Belgium) as a workaround. Let me know if you need help creating a trial account to explore.

Hi, update for you and anyone who might be in a similar situation, the Global version does not support our bank Manager.One with a live link, so this option is not possible for us.  Bye bye QuickBooks.
