Please can someone tell me how to run a Balance Sheet Report that shows the multi-currency balances in their own currency, rather than exchanged in to the home currency?
Hi Sarah!
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I got information about the currencies in the Balance Sheet report.
We can only have the amounts in your home currency in a Balance Sheet report. There is another report called Balance Sheet Detail that can show you amounts based on an account’s currency. I'll share the steps to achieve this.
You can also make customisations to filter the data you only need.
Feel free to visit us back through this thread if you need more help with reports. Take care and have a good one!
Consider having a 3rd party app (e.g BI app) to do so.
Thanks for getting back here in the thread, @SarahRuston. I'll take care of your concern and share a workaround to get through this, and run a report that shows what you need.
You can consider pulling up the Transaction Detail by Account report. You'll then want to export it to excel so you can manually remove and edit the home currency and replace it with the correct currency. To begin, here's how:
You'll then want to click the Export icon beside the Gear icon, and export it to Excel.
In addition, here's an article for reference in case you'd like import your Excel file into your QBO: Import data from other software into QuickBooks Online.
It'll always be my pleasure to help if you've got other QuickBooks-related concerns. You can use the REPLY button below and leave your comment so that I can assist you once again. Take care, and have a great weekend, @SarahRuston.
